We offer a wide range of skills with knowledgeable Bushcraft instructors well educated on Wild Food,medicines, basket Makers, primitive fire lighting, hunting & trapping. Also Wild Medicines, Clothing From Reindeer & Knife makers. Our Instructors have even collected wild food for one of Sweden’s top restaurants Fäviken run by Magnus Nilsson seen on netflix (chiefs Table).

SWEDEN'S MOST RELAXED MOUNTAIN MARATHON

Öppet Fjäll is aimed at those who want to have an experience-rich day on the mountain, with good food & drink served along the trail.

All distances are along well-marked trails and you can choose between distances of 8 & 42 km

With the open start time, it is possible to more or less walk through the track without time pressure.

We recommend runners who want to take it easy/walk to start early

The Oringen consists of six competitions over five days, which has been around since the start in Skåne 1965. Today O-Ringen also includes; Elite Tour, 3-days, Stage start, Youth relay and a training race. A total of 125 classes. We also have Miniknat for our youngest participants.

A "normal" O-Ringen has around 18 400 participants and around 75 000 stage starts. Our participants are in the ages 5 to 95 and from the whole world.

About 1,200 officials work over 75,000 hours to make the event possible.

Ottsjö and the surrounding areas feature numerous excellent trails for both summer and winter activities. These trails are well mapped and prepped, with detailed descriptions and maps available in printed form and digitally on the Mountain Experiences page.

New brochures are printed at the start of each season and can be obtained for free from shops, hotels, and places to eat in the area, as well as from boxes located at the command centers in various villages.
