A Look Back at Summer and the Magic of September

At Mountain Holiday Homes, we’ve had an exciting and busy summer, filled with beautiful scenery, wonderful activities, and plenty of guests. While I missed sending out newsletters for the past few months, there’s been no shortage of exciting things to share. From the calm and moderate weather of July and August to the breathtaking transformation of September, there’s so much to reflect on and celebrate.

**A Summer of Adventure**

July and August brought perfect conditions for outdoor enthusiasts. With pleasant temperatures, it was the ideal time for those who love exploring the mountains without the intense heat. Whether you were hiking, biking, or simply soaking up the natural beauty, these months offered the perfect environment to enjoy all that the mountains have to offer.

But it wasn’t just the weather that made summer special. August saw the return of the Mountain Marathon, an event that takes over the village for nearly the entire month. The energy was electric, with the village packed full of people and a constant buzz of activity. While I’ve never participated myself, I’m seriously considering joining the 8km non-competitive race next year!

If you’re curious about summer activities in the area or interested in joining the marathon next year, you can find more information [here].

**The Magic of September**

September is always a special month here, and this year was no exception. The vivid colors of the trees as they turned from green to gold and orange were simply stunning. With warm days and crisp mornings and evenings, it was the perfect season for berry and mushroom picking. The natural beauty during this time of year never ceases to amaze me, and it’s one of the reasons September holds a special place in our hearts at Mountain Holiday Homes.

**Exciting News: Introducing Hedlunds Cabin**

As we look ahead to the winter months, we’re excited to announce that we’re expanding! A new cabin, **Hedlunds Cabin**, is now part of Mountain Holiday Homes. This cozy, 4-bedroom cabin sleeps up to 7 people and is fully equipped for a comfortable stay, whether you’re visiting during the vibrant summer or the magical winter season. It’s a beautiful addition to our collection of unique and charming homes.

All of our cabins belong to families who are proud to share their homes with guests. Some of these cabins were even built by the families themselves, and they’re used for holidays, family gatherings, and weekend retreats. We hope you enjoy staying in these homes as much as the owners do!

Each cabin is unique, with its own rules and amenities. While some cabins include cleaning services, others offer it as an optional service. And while bed linens are typically not included, this is common in Swedish cabins, and you can easily rent them through Mountain Holiday Homes.
