Spring 2023
Spring has sprund here at Ottsjö, but unlike most people around the world, we are not preparing our gardens or pulling out our coolier clothes. Infact in the Swedish mountains it is still snowing, and as I sit here writing this blog it is snowing outside my window. This makes room for amazing activities during the warmer weather.
It is one of my most favourite times of the year, the days are getting longer, the sun is shining, and the snow is still on the ground, I am truly blessed to live in this stunning place.
I have recently taken to Cross Country Sking, which has captured me as I can get to places much quicker and the views around me are spectacular, taking my breath away - it is an a great time of year to start a new activity, with perfect weather and conditions.
Quiet times and low seasons is a great time for people to come along on holidays without the hussle and bussle if this is what you prefer.
In a months time the snow will have disappeared, maybe not completely, but enough for the faunage to start waking up, and the summer activites to start. Things like mountain walks, fishing, mountain biking, swimming, canoeing and loads more!
Planning for the summer months have started and very soon our bushcraft courses will be going ahead. This year I have put together something for families and children to do during the Summer holidays. Sweden summer holidays start in the middle of June, and the UK summer holidays start in the middle of July, so we are delivering bushcraft courses from the middle of June until the end of August.
We are also planning a big move, and the next chapter in our lives. We have handed in our notice for our apartment, bought a caravan and we are moving down to the kennel. So the project this year will be making our living areas winter liveable for us and the dogs!
We are really looking forward to this next chapter in our lives!
For now we are just enjoying the warmth and comfort of our apartment until we move onto our next chapter. I will look forward in updating you all on this, the good the bad and the ugly.
Hope you have an amazing Spring
Lots of Love
